SOMETHING TO BARK (OR MEOW) ABOUT: FAVORITE PRODUCTS FROM THE C&S GANG!

Whenever I’m in a book store, or a music store (I’m dating myself by admitting that I go to “stores” aren’t I?), I find that I always make my way to the “Staff Picks” shelf.

I’m not going to lie, it always makes me feel kind of cool to get “inside information”.

So now I give you the gift of that “inside information”. Many of you know us and recognize us when you come visit us in the store, but do not always get a chance to pick our brains.

After spending hours upon hours and weeks upon weeks, and for some of us almost three years reading about and testing our products, we’ve all had a few favorites float to the top.

So here you go…

Staff Picks from the Calvin & Susie Gang

Ashley

Favorite Product: Honest Kitchen Beams

Uses: To treat your dog!

Why It’s Your Favorite: I love how they are single ingredient, full of omega’s, and how Zen has to hold it between his paws to eat! Too cute and it keeps him busy for a few minutes!

Sayo

Favorite Products: Wound Balm & Bubble Shack shampoo.

Uses: Wound Balm, a yarrow, burdock and echinacea based balm used to treat minor ow-ies and dry skin on myself and my rehab birds. Bubble Shack Shampoo, to shampoo my own hair!

Why It’s Your Favorite: Both work really well, have safe ingredients and are economical (a little goes a long way).

Ian

Favorite Products: Nzymes Granules and Red Dingo pet tags.

Uses: Nyzymes provides living food enzymes that can aid in yeast problems, digestion issues and nutritional absorption in pets.

Red Dingo tags are tough, engraved pet tags for your dog or cat’s collar.

Why It’s Your Favorite: Nzymes Granules –These can benefit everyone. These enzymes help to fight off many health concerns and illnesses that commonly occur in a pet’s life. This is a simple way to drastically improve an animal’s well being.

Red Dingo Dog Tags — These are very well engraved, so this important information is not going anywhere. There are different sizes, shapes, materials and colors. Fast delivery time and great customer service!

Alli

Favorite Products: Wondercide, Wound Balm and Liquid Health Ear Solution

Uses: Wondercide is a great natural flea, tick, mosquito and pest eliminator and deterrent. There are formulas for use on your pet, in your home and outside of your home.

Wound Balm a (see Sayo’s favorites) natural, herbal balm that promotes healing in minor wounds. Very soothing!

Liquid Health Ear Cleaner is a dog ear cleaner and deodorizer specifically meant to be used after swimming or bathing.

It’s Tommy! He’s happy his ears are clean!

Why It’s Your Favorite: Wondercide — I love wondercide. I just took care of an ant nest inside my poor palm tree with a good dose of Biodefense (a Wondercide product) . Now I have a palm tree that smells like cedar which is kind of nice.

Wound Balm — I use it for everything. It really perks up my skin after airplanes as well even though I smell a little like salad. It also calms itchiness, too, as I notice that it helps Emma (Alli’s dog) as she is allergic to insect bites. I believe every household should have a jar.

Liquid Health Ear Cleaner — I love to take my dogs to the beach, and using Liquid Health makes keeping their ears healthy so simple. It keeps their ears smelling clean! (We’re currently out of Liquid Health Ear Cleaner, it will be returning to our shelves ASAP)

Joanna

Favorite Product: Wild Meadow Farms “Minis” treats.

Uses: The treats are great training treats for little dogs.

Why It’s Your Favorite: I have a little dog that has food sensitivities and is going through some training classes. I like them because they are the perfect size for little dogs and they are made from a single source protein. They also come in a variety of different proteins for dogs that have food

sensitivities.

Louise

Favorite Product: Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet oil supplement

Uses: Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet is an omega supplement that is easily added into your pet’s food

Why It’s Your Favorite: Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Pet — It’s so simple to get your pet on an omega-3 regiment! Omega-3 Pet is an anti-inflammatory and is great for your pet’s skin, coat, joints, heart, brain, and eyes. In my opinion, starting your pet on a fish oil or Omega oil supplement, could make for an easier aging process down the line. (Please consult your vet, though, before beginning any new supplement).

Brandy is pleased by her Omega-3 Pet oil. Yes indeed.

So there you have it! Our staff picks! (Can you tell we love Wound Balm? I use it on pimples…)

Come by the store and check ’em out! Most of us are MORE than happy to chat about our favorite things.
